Sama seperti Fomecs Boutique Hotel, Izumi Hotel Bukit Bintang ini juga bisa di bilang, pilihan terakhir saya, setelah galau berpindah-pindah dari Soleil Hotel (formerly known as Radius Int Hotel) dan Picollo Hotel.. Thanks to Booking.com yang memungkinkan ini semua terjadi.. Dimana lagi coba kita bisa sesuka hati booking, cancel, booking lagi hotel dengan segampang ini, dan tentunya tanpa biaya sepeser pun..hihihi..
Untuk orang yang picky masalah hotel macam saya ini, kriteria utama saya adalah lokasi nya strategis, bersih, dan rate nya terjangkau.. Berhubung tujuan nya Kuala Lumpur, jadi kriteria nya adalah harus di kawasan Bukit Bintang dan harus dekat dengan Jalan Alor.. Thank goodness, I found this Izumi Hotel Bukit Bintang..
Izumi Hotel Bukit Bintang ini bener2 strategically located.. Terletak di Jalan Berangan, yang tidak bising atau noisy seperti Jalan Changkat, tetapi bener2 deket kemana-mana.. Jalan Alor, ah yang ini cuma perlu 20 langkah ke arah belakang hotel.. Ke Pavilion, Fahrenhet, Lot 10, Sungei Wang Plaza, Bukit Bintang Monorail Station, etc cuma perlu jalan kaki less than 10 minutes.. Mau ke Berjaya Times Square, 15 menit aja nyampe.. Mau ke Petronas Twin Tower, ke Suria KLCC, ke Central Market, ke Petaling Street, cukup jalan 20 langkah ke depan Jalan Sultan Ismail.. Di sana ada bus stop nya GoKL dan bus2 lain.. Anyway, GoKL ini adalah free bus yang disediakan khusus oleh pemerintah Malaysia.. Saat ini ada 4 rute GoKL bus yang bisa kita pilih.. My favorite tentunya Purple Line kalau mau ke Central Market atau Petaling Street dan Green Line kalau mau ke Petronas & Suria.. Bus nya bersih, dingin, dan interval nya bervariasi mulai 5-15 menit..
Untuk rate sekitar RM 250 per malam, untuk kamar Family Room, semuanya thumbs up.. Kamar nya memang tidak terlalu spacious, tapi masih better dibandingkan hotel-hotel di Singapore.. Family Room nya sendiri terdiri dari dua queen beds, karena memang di desain untuk muat 4 orang.. LED TV disediakan 2.. Hairdryer, mineral water, towel, toiletries, semuanya tersedia.. Di dekat lift juga disediakan dispenser untuk hot and cold water..
Nah sekarang bagian negatif nya nih.. Pertama, saya tidak suka dengan 1 tiang / post yang terletak di tengah kamar, yang membatasi antara bed pertama dan bed kedua.. Ini mengakibatkan kamar yang sudah sempit, menjadi lebih sempit lagi dan menyusahkan kita ketika berjalan.. Kedua, bathroom nya amit-amit deh kecil nya.. Buka pintu bathroom, langsung disambut dengan shower di atas kepala kita, wastafel di depan kita, dan toilet di kanan kita.. Seriously, untuk gerak aja susah.. Celakanya, saya baru menemukan knob shower yang berfungsi dua arah.. Jadi kalau ditekan ke dalam, shower yang besar yang mengalir air nya.. Dan sebaliknya, kalau ditekan ke luar, shower yang kecil yang mengalir air nya.. Keren sih, tapi jadi ga keren setelah malam pertama, karena mama saya yang menjadi korban si shower.. Saking sempitnya, pas mau buka pintu, eh ga sengaja kesenggol si knob.. Mama saya sih cuma bisa shock ketika harus dipaksa mandi.. Waktu itu kita cuma ngetawain mama saya.. Eh, besoknya, giliran saya dan adik saya yang jadi korban. wkwkwk..Untungnya kita fast learner semua, mulai hari ketiga dan keempat, sudah tidak ada korban lagi.. wkwkwk.. Selain size nya yang mini, exhaust fan di bathroom juga sepertinya tidak bekerja dengan baik,, Pertama kali ketika check in, bathroom nya sering kali mengeluarkan bau yang cukup smelly.. Setelah itu sih sudah mulai berkurang walaupun masih wangian kamar mandi di rumah.. wkwkwk..
Anyway, di balik sisi positif dan negatif nya hotel ini, saya masih menganggap hotel ini sebagai hotel yang bagus.. Staff nya ramah2 dan selalu siap membantu.. Breakfast pun not too bad, mengingat rate per malam nya yang murah.. Personally, I love this hotel and will stay here again on my next visit to Kuala Lumpur..

My
next destination after Melaka / Malacca is Kuala Lumpur.. My father
gave me a special request to book a hotel that close to Jalan Alor.. And
he suggested Soleil Hotel (formerly Radius Int Hotel).. After reading
some reviews from TripAdvisor, I had my doubts.. So I decided to look
for another hotel.. Lucky me, I found this hotel, Izumi Hotel Bukit Bintang.. And guess what, Jalan Alor is only
located behind the hotel.. After reading some positive reviews, I
decided to book this hotel.. I'm quite surprised when i found out their
rate.. For 1 Family Room, the rate was less than RM 250 for one night,
and breakfast for 4 persons is included..
When
I arrived in Kuala Lumpur and took a taxi to take us to the hotel, the
taxi driver said he never heard about Izumi Hotel Bukit Bintang.. Probably because
they're still new as they opened at the beginning of 2014.. The easiest
way is mentioning Fortuna Hotel, as the hotel is located beside Fortuna Hotel at Jalan
Berangan..
The
room itself is no too spacious.. The Family Room consists of 2 queen
beds, 2 tvs, and 1 bathroom.. I have nothing to complain for the room,
except for the bathroom.. It's too small.. Toilet and shower are not
separated, so it all will get wet.. They put the shower near the
washbowl and the door, and if we're not careful, we might touch the
shower button / knob.. One the most annoying thing, is the exhaust
fan.. It didn't work properly so sometimes it's smelly..
The
breakfast is not too bad.. The staffs are very helpful and the location
is perfect.. As I mentioned before, Jalan Alor is located behind the
hotel, and there are a narrow alley which can lead us both to Jalan Alor
and Bukit Bintang Plaza and it's all by 30 seconds walking.. Famous
shopping malls in Bukit Bintang also can be reached by walking.. It took
only 10 minutes to Pavilion, 5 minutes to Fahrenheit & Lot 10, and
15 minutes to Berjaya Times Square.. Planning to go to Petronas Twin
Towers, Suria Mall, KLCC, Central Market, or Petaling Street
(Chinatown)?? All can be reached by taking the free GO KL Bus.. The bus
stop is only 1 minutes walking from the hotel..
Besides
it's positive and negative points, I still love this hotel and will
book this hotel again on my next visit to Kuala Lumpur..
